Over the past two weeks in class we’ve talked a lot about created a bio for ourselves and essentially creating a brand for ourselves. Something that can be both a mix of our personality and has a professional look to it. One of the resources we were encouraged to utilize is about.me, a website dedicated to creating a personal homepage for each of its users.

On the website, users can personalize the type of homepage they want and choose from a variety of tags to customize their homepage. A major feature on this page that I found to be extremely helpful was the social media connections. Users are able to connect almost any form of social media - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. to their page and are instantly taken to these accounts. About.me really allows it’s user to create a common connection between all of these accounts and a simplicity to personal profile.

Since I'm trying to create a brand as a person dealing with both graphic design and media about.me has allowed me to bring the two together. My about.me profile (https://about.me/erin.roediger) connects to my personal website, Instagram, Twitter and email.
